Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee Appointments The Bicycle Advisory Committee is seeking one re-appointment and one new appointment, the Pedestrian Advisory Committee is seeking one reappointment. After questions came up at the February meeting, Mr. Jeff Stevenson was contacted regarding his application for either Bicycle Advisory Committee or Transportation Commission. He is more interested in joining the Bicycle Advisory Committee and is the point. Staff Recommendation: Motion to approve appointments as presented in the Staff report.
Transportation Engineering Program Entrance Sign Policy Discussion The City currently maintains several entrance sign assemblies at both City street and ADOT highway /City Limit locations. The City has recently been required by ADOT to rebuild these entrance sign structures to conforming roadside standards. The City has also seen an escalation in requests to place signs on these structures. It is with this background that we have decided the time has come to create an official process for accepting signs, placing signs and in the event the structure becomes over full, a process to prioritize which signs stay. Staff Recommendation: Review staff’s proposed Entrance Sign Policy, provide feedback and direction for moving forward with the policy.
