Presentation and Discussion of the Flagstaff Area Regional Land Use and Transportation Plan The purpose of this presentation is to update you on the Regional Plan process, bring to your attention the chapter regarding Circulation, and request your consideration of any additional information or edits you would like to submit to the Regional Plan Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC) for review. Update on the La Plaza Vieja Neighborhood Traffic Calming Project. This is a preliminary discussion on the proposed Neighborhood Traffic Calming project for the La Plaza Vieja Neighborhood. Staff has conducted numerous traffic counts in the neighborhood, we have attended two neighborhood association meetings, and completed the Worksheets from the Guidebook for Residential Traffic Management. The next neighborhood association meeting is Wednesday September 12th at the new Natural Grocers store. Staff Recommendation: Informational update on the status of this project. The public will be invited to the October Transportation Commission meeting if the Commission is comfortable with the current status.
Presentation on the City of Flagstaff’s Proposed Electric and Motorized Bicycle Ordinance. This is a preliminary discussion on the proposed Electric and Motorized Bicycle Ordinance. This ordinance will be reviewed by the Pedestrian and Bicycle Advisory Committees at their September and October meetings and then come back with recommendations to the November Transportation Commission Meeting. In November Public Advertisement will take place so we should expect some public comment. Staff Recommendation: Informational update on a future (November) Transportation Commission Action item.
