This presentation is for information only. The Flagstaff City Council placed four propositions on the November 2018 ballot for Flagstaff voters to consider. To educate the public about these propositions, NAIPTA staff will make a brief presentation to the BPAC. The presentation, with time for questions, should take 30 minutes and will cover: Proposition 419: Continuance of Sales Tax for Roadway, Pedestrian, Bicycle, and Safety Improvements. Proposition 420: Sales Tax for a Lone Tree Railroad Overpass from Butler Avenue to Route 66 Proposition 421: Sales Tax for Increased Transit Service Proposition 422: Improving Housing Affordability RECOMMENDED ACTION: Hear presentation and ask questions. Downtown Tree-well Benches Address: City Staff: REQUESTED ACTION: Various downtown locations Mark Di Lucido, CD&R Project Administrator Hear presentation and discuss This beautiflcation project would replace selected downtown tree grates with benches. The benches are tree-friendly, mitigate heaved paving, replace aging benches in need of repair, and provide beautiflcation opportunities to install flowering annuals and perennials. Route 66 Walk the Talk Address: City Staff: REQUESTED ACTION: Various locations along Route 66's original Downtown Alignment Mark Di Lucido, CD&R Project Administrator Hear presentation and discuss 'Walk the Talk' is the pedestrian component of the larger Route 66 project. If s an audio tour that features oral histories of properties and events along the original downtown alignment of Route 66. Sign blades mounted on poles at selected historic properties (approximately eight locations) announce the oral history locations.
